Algonquin Provincial Park is the oldest and most famous wilderness park in Ontario. It was established over 100 years ago to protect a vast wilderness area more than 7500 square kilometers in size. This area of ancient rock, sculptured by glaciers consists of quiet forests, rolling hills, and an endless network of rivers and lakes. It's a great place to see wildlife in their natural habitat. The Visitor's Center and Logging Museum are well worth visiting. Fishing, canoeing, hiking, birdwatching, and mountain biking are popular activities in the Park. Excellent cross country ski trails are maintained in winter. Blue Water Acres is located about 15 minutes drive from the West Gate of the Park.

Arrowhead Provincial Park is situated on 2 beautiful lakes with sandy beaches. Visitor's can enjoy swimming, canoeing, fishing, and hiking. In winter it's a great place to go cross-country skiing. Six trails totalling 25 kilometers are maintained there for your enjoyment. You can also go skating, snowshoeing, and tobogganing there. About 25 minutes drive from Blue Water Acres.

Pioneer Village is a reconstruction of a typical crossroads settlement at the turn of the century. This Village includes 17 restored pioneer buildings from throughout the Muskoka area. Interpreters in period costume are there to make the visit more authentic. There's a restaurant and gift shop on site. It's worth a visit. Located only 15 minutes drive from Blue Water Acres.
