There are many cross country ski trails in the area

Blue Water Acres has about 12 kilometers of groomed trails at Blue Water Acres. Trails are marked according to level of difficulty from novice to expert. Start cross country skiing right from your cottage door. Although the trails at Blue Water Acres are among the most scenic in the area, there are many other cross country ski trails in the vicinity. The most notable are the trails at Algonquin Park, Arrowhead Provincial Park and Leslie M. Frost Centre.

Algonquin Provincial Park is located about 15 minutes drive from Blue Water Acres. There are over 80 km of groomed trails with all level of difficulty. Cost is $8.00 per car. 705-633-5583

Arrowhead Provincial Park is located about 25 minutes drive from the resort. There are 6 marked trails for a total for 27 kilometers. Night skiing is available Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights until 9 pm. 705-789-5105

Leslie M Frost Centre is located about 30 minutes drive from the resort, just south of Dorset. There are 25 km of trails and a lookout. This facility is operated by the Ministry of Natural Resources. 705-766-2451

Equipment is available for rent at the resort. Skis, poles & boots are $13 for 1/2 day and $20 for the entire day.
